If you're black in America and have to deal with cops good luck.

You can see the murder of Alton Sterling here.

I always preach to my kids to never give a cop a reason to kill you. And these days, even if you do that, you can still die for doing nothing wrong.

There is a double standard in America, 100%.

I hope that one day it changes. But it will require a transformation of cop culture and prison systems which profit so heavily off people being locked up.

It's not safe in the streets. At the end of the day, do your best to stay safe. I highly recommend carrying a gun and getting your concealed carry license. Here's a great website with tons of information.

I carry a Ruger LCR 38 Spl +P. You can see those guns here.

I have personally been ran up on at a Staples. I've had weird phone calls and death threats when I had a salon, and much more.

Stay protected. Get trained. Be smart. Be aware. Understand your surroundings. And most importantly, protect yourself and your family at all costs.

The murder of Alton Sterling was horrible. And of course, the cops and legal system, in general, will do whatever they can to protect the murderers because they are all on the same team.

If there were a bit of good news, it's that the Department of Justice is going to investigate this situation. Let's hope they get it right.

Stay safe. And more importantly, never give a cop a single reason to shoot you. NEVER resist arrest. Comply with the cops and then get a good lawyer if you feel the need. If a cop asks for your ID, give it to them. If they tell you to put your hands up, do it. If they ask you to get on the ground, do it. It's never worth your life.

And remember, life isn't perfect or fair. You can do everything I just said above and still die.

Lastly, there are amazing cops out there saving lives and putting their life on the line daily. Black, white, all colors. Doing their best on their job and for their family. Let's not forget the hard working, law abiding officers who risk their life every day.

What we want, though, is for the cops who commit these crimes to be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

Keep your eyes open out there and be safe.

Be blessed,
