One of my biggest pet peeves is hearing someone downplay themselves, or say things like this…
“I can't.”
“I suck.”
“I'll never be able to afford that.”
“I'm broke.”
“I'm poor.”
“I'm not good enough.”
“I'm too lazy.”
“I'm not that smart.”
“I'm ugly.”
Hearing those words drive me crazy. What we speak out of our mouth is powerful. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (KJV)
Your words are powerful; your words have meaning, so don't for one second own any of that negative talk. By saying those things over and over again, you begin to believe those words; then they become a self-fulfilling prophesy that you start to live. Don't allow that to happen. Check yourself immediately once any words like that leave your lips.
A few weeks ago at my 1 Day Ventilating & Marketing Bootcamp in Washington DC a young lady was starting to speak negatively about her ability to perform a skill, and I stopped the class to explain to her why she can never do that again. You can hear what I said to her here on this video.
Eliminating negativity is one of the things I teach all of my Mentorship clients about, it's a very critical step in the process. In just a few weeks, I will be launching a brand new Lace Wig Mentorship program where I will be teaching about the importance of eliminating negativity out of your life, amongst other things.
In the meantime, make sure to stay connected, so you don't miss out. It's going to be epic!
Be blessed,
