Be sure to read the story below before you watch the video.
I said I wasn't going to get sucked into another Shonda Rhimes show since I'm totally hooked on Greys & Scandal, but after I watched the first 30 seconds of How To Get Away With Murder (LOL) I just couldn't help myself.
Shonda is Brilliant and it helps that I'm a HUGE fan of Viola Davis!
I've loved her since I saw her on the show New York Undercover (Yes…I remember that show)!
I really fell in love with her when I read an article on Vulture.com about losing her hair at 28.
Can you imagine losing half of your hair at age 28 to alopecia areata?
“I woke up one day and it looked like I had a Mohawk…”, she said.
Because of this Viola wore wigs and never showed her natural hair until the 2012 Oscars.
I applaud Viola for being able to embrace her natural beauty, but in all honesty not all women are able to do what she did.
I was sitting at the Cancer Center with my Mother the other day and saw a lady walk in with a chic pixie cut.
“I LOVE your hair!” I said to her.
With this embarrassed look on her face she turned to me and said,
“I was trying to adjust my wig in the car and ripped it in two pieces. I'm so embarrassed. I know a lot of women embrace their short hair, or even the bald head, but that's just not me I would give anything to get my hair back.”
My heart melted, I tried everything I could to stop that lump from forming in my throat.
The sad thing is that there are too many women like her that suffer from hair loss due to alopecia, overuse of chemicals, chemotherapy, lupus, and let's not forget stress!
The best thing for all of these women (and men of course) is that there's a way for them to get their identity back.
I know this first hand because back in 2006 when my own Mother was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer, she lost all of her hair after going through chemotherapy treatments.
I made a custom lace wig for her and even though she never complained about her hair, I could feel her happiness and her confidence shine through!
What if you could do that for someone?
At that moment when I saw that shift in my Mother, I knew right then I had to do something to help other women experience what my Mom experienced.
So, I developed a system to teach what I call The Master Skill.
You can read all about it here.
The Master Skill can be used to create custom closures, frontals, fronted wigs, full lace wigs, and so much more!
Learning this skill doesn't require you to attend Cosmetology school, yet you can still be apart of the beauty industry, AND you're helping others.
I don't want to give away too much, but let's just say after you read the book you'll definitely be ready for more!
Download the book, it will only take you about 15 minutes to read. You don't want to miss this!
Be blessed,
