This story is unbelievable…
6 years ago I was still pregnant with Cale and was headed to Sam's to get my tires rotated on my car when the unthinkable
Traffic was kind of heavy and I was moving along with the flow of it when all of a sudden I heard a loud noise that shook me to the core! 2 seconds later my car was driving funny and making a weird noise. I thought to myself, “What on earth was that?! I pulled over into a church parking lot just off the street I was driving on to see what that noise was, and low and behold my tire had blown out! I took a deep breath and tried not to panic.
The first phone call I made was to Ricky, my husband. I told him what happened, and he was on his way. But, there was a small problem… lol. He was at least 35 minutes away, which meant 50 minutes with traffic and it was starting to get dark.
At this time Nya was I think around 1 1/2 years old, so he had to pack her up to get there so it was going to be at least 1 1/2 hours before he got there.
Cars were passing by so I decided to sit in the car and wait for him. I was getting scared so I decided to take matter's into my own hands and change the tire myself.
I called Ricky back for him to walk me through it… VOICEMAIL! Oh my goodness…
The next call I made was to my Dad. “Calm down, I'll walk you through it,” he said. Step by step my Dad walked me through the process over the phone. He made sure that I followed his directions and about 30 minutes later, I was on the road and headed to Sam's.
Wow! Who knew a pregnant Woman could do that? LOL!
I knew then that though determination and focus I could do ANYTHING and so can you! That is the very reason why when I have customers, or coaching clients email or call me and say it's too hard, or I just can't get it, I say, “Trust me, with the proper guidance and focus you can do anything!”
Just a few days ago I told you about the conversation I overheard at the kids' school where the 2 ladies were talking about doing their kids hair. That lady was ready and determined to do her daughter's hair and I'm sure she succeeded. If you don't know where to start, start with your own kids.
Remember, if I can change a tire 7 months pregnant, you can start doing hair… LOL!
