Once I decided to go into the salon full time a few years ago I noticed my allergies, asthma, and migraines really started to kick in.
For a long time I had no clue what the culprit was until recentely at my last ENT appointment.
After lot's of testing CT scans, allergy specialists, and neurologists for my migraines, we'v finally narrowed it down to the chemicals I'm breathing in.
When I'm doing a blow out, I use flat iron spray that when heated releases fumes that makes me immediately start coughing (Asthma), from there I cough so much it makes my head hurt (onset migrane), then from there I get stuffy which triggers my allergies.
Imagine going through this almost every time you have to pick up a product, or iron for a client.
So what was I do to? I continued to do hair and the worse I got.
I knew the long term effect would not be good, so I started to look for a solution to my problem.
Opening windows doesn't always work.
I'm happy to report there's a solution…
Izunami has just released it's long anticipatd Fume Iron. It's an actual Flat Iron that is developed for those performing Keratin Treatments.
This works by sucking in the chemicals gasses, vapor and odors and filters them through a carbon filter to release the purified air back in into the hair.
