I just wanted to take this time to say “Thank You” for the outpouring of love and support that we've received over the past few weeks.
If you replied to an email, left a comment on Facebook, Instagram, or sent flowers, cards, or prayers to our family we truly appreciate your love and support during this tough time.
There are no words to express my gratitude for such love and compassion and for that I have to say…
You mean the world to me.
Those comments, email replies, cards, prayers, and our faith in God helped us to understand that Mom is in Heaven smiling down on us no longer in pain, or suffering as she was here on earth.
As I type this email I'm reminded of the plaque we received from the funeral home the day of the funeral.
On the plaque is a picture of Mom and a poem that is titled “Miss Me – But Let Me Go”
It reads…
When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom filled room, Why cry for a soul set free.
Miss me a little – but not too long, And not with your head bowed low. Remembre the love that we once shared, MISS ME – BUT LET ME GO.
For this is a journey that we all must take, And we must go alone. It's all part of the MASTER'S plan, A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick at heart, Go to the friends we know. And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds, MISS ME – LOVE ME – BUT LET ME GO.
