I'm completely obsessed with making sure I can show proof that what I teach really does work.
Why? Because it's the MOST powerful tool in marketing…Proof.
Most people are afraid to ask, but let me ask you this…
How many times have you bought something because you saw how amazing it worked for someone else?
I'll be the first to raise my hand.
You MUST understand that proof is paramount in business.
You have to be able to prove that what you teach really does work.
Providing proof is really a testimonial…it's having the client or customer share their story about your product or service.
With that said let me tell you what NOT to do when getting your proof:
1. NEVER tell your customer or client what to say. You'll be looked at in their eyes as someone who is not authentic, and it will look and sound scripted. Simply tell them to share their experience they had with your product/service with you.
2. Don't put a camera up to their face. It's intimidating to people who are not accustomed to being in front of a camera. So what should you use? Your phone…people are always taking selfies or filming something, so the phone is not as intimidating as an actual camera. Trust me it works!
3. NEVER post anything without permission first. Always have them sign a non-disclosure agreement stating that it's okay for you to use their video/ testimonial.
That's it! Now go out there and get your proof.
