The D-Word – Deregulation

Being a member of the Professional Beauty Association, I get to see a lot of important news about our industry.

Unfortunately, what I've been seeing a lot of lately is the deregulation of Cosmetology, Barbering, Esthetics, and Nail Technicians.

What is deregulation? Deregulation means taking away the licensing requirements for the beauty industry.

Check out this video from Tabitha Coffey to see how you can do your part in making sure this doesn't happen in your state.

It's just as bad for the stylist as it is for the client.

In Cosmetology school we learn about sanitation, infectious diseases, electricity, chemistry and so much more. Without this our clients could end up bald, with diseases, or worse.

Licensing requirements must remain as they are. Deregulation could destroy our industry.

Again, check out the video and let's band together and stop this nonsense!

Be blessed,
