You're not going to believe this!
Last week my family took an 18 hour road trip to Oklahoma for my husbands sisters wedding. 18 hours seems like forever, but it was a fun trip and we had a blast!
On Monday we left to come back home to South Carolina. We decided to spend the night in Birmingham, AL since that would only give us 7 hours to drive back home.
We decided to valet the truck so we didn't have to deal with parking and all of that.
After getting the kids to bed, we also went to bed because we were so tired! At 3am the phone in our room rang…
“Oh my Goodness! Who is calling us at 3am!” I asked Ricky.
All I could hear Ricky saying was, “That sucks, are you serious?!”
Once Ricky got off the phone I told him to stay in the room with the kids while I went downstairs to meet the police officer.
Once I got downstairs the cop briefed me on what was going on and apparently someone busted out the back window of Ricky's truck and was stealing stuff out of the truck!
The cops caught the guy because someone saw him and called 911 so I was able to get everything back!
Just when things started to calm down the suspect decided he wanted to tell me something… here's what he said…
“Ma'm, I'm really sorry I didn't mean to break into your truck. I got into a fight at a nearby club and got hit in the face with a brick and I thought your truck belonged to the guy. Please don't press charges on me, I just got married on May 7th and we don't have a lot of
money…I'm so sorry!”
I was so angry, but I still felt sorry for, not him, but his wife and kids. I was truly heart broken for them.
Times are hard right now for a lot of people and breaking into cars, and stealing is not the answer!
There are so many more things you can do to earn extra income. When I was in the Air Force I was “broke as a joke”! But I didn't steal, or break into peoples cars, I learned some new hair skills and started to create some extra income.
If you're going through tough times, find creative ways to bring in some extra income. Sell some of your old clothes on craigslist, take some micro braiding clients, or do kids cornrows for your friends and family, do some babysitting, there's a ton of things to do.
If you're interested in making some extra money braiding hair, check out my Braiding & Weaving Legacy Package.
I'm sure you'll find something that can bring in a few extra dollars a month!
Be blessed and I'll talk with you soon!
