The Day That Changed My Life Forever...
One day my youngest brother pulled up his Facebook account and said, “why don’t you put your videos here? Just do it and see what happens.”
Between us, I wasn’t interested. Every instinct said “Run!”
First, who would want to hear from me? Second, what would happen if people posted negative comments? Third (and this was actually my worst fear), what if nothing happened?
But then it hit me…
- I wasn’t making a lot of money.
- No one knew who I was.
- So I had nothing to lose.
So with fewer qualifications than you probably have now, I just went ahead and did it. I recorded a video and posted it to Facebook.
And then... nothing happened. But thank God I didn’t give up. Because just when I was about to throw in the towel, out of nowhere people started responding.
First, it was just a few likes and comments. Then hundreds. Then thousands.
And the next thing I knew, I had thousands and thousands across multiple platforms.
My first posts weren’t great, but they were authentic. I didn’t try to be flashy or polished. I was just being me.
